My name is Yasaman (Jasmine). I was born in 1987 in Isfahan - Iran, and currently live in Surrey, England. I have been interested in painting since the age of 12, when I started to paint as a hobby. Noticing my enthusiasm, my parents enrolled me in after-school and summer-time art classes, where I used every opportunity to develop my skills. I found that I primarily enjoy painting in watercolour, due to its uniqueness and the challenges it brings. I do however also like to paint with other mediums such as oil and gouache.
In 2014, after graduating with a Master's degree in Urban Design, I started working as an Urban Design consultant. I continued to paint alongside my job, and soon realised that my real passion lies in art, and decided to pursue it as a career. To start with, I painted monuments and historical sites. Over time however, I realised that I also enjoy painting landscapes and portraits, and do not want to limit myself to one specific style.
I enjoy visiting art museums, and appreciate different painting styles and composition. I have also exhibited my work in a number of galleries in Iran and the UK. In my past time, I also enjoy listening to music, exercising, and spending time with my family and friends.
